Providing the phat beats from the back seat as part of GIMME BUFFETT's
rhythm section is Tom Kowalski, a drummer and percussionist with an
appetite for consumption. With almost two decades of playing
experience on the not-so-tropical East Coast, covering genre's
such as funk, rock, top 40 and country, "Hollywood" Tom is sure
to have you swaying like a palm tree in the breeze with his smooth
grooves and tropical percussive stylings.
Tom studied for a brief period under Buffalo drummer icon Jim Linsner,
and was nominated for several music awards in both the solo and
band categories. He can be heard on various recordings
including Scattered Flurries two CD releases "Welcome to Sloan"
and "Four Deep in the Snow", both produced by legendary producer
Jon Mathias (Tom Petty, U2, Mariah Carey, Kiss).
As the self appointed Supreme Ruler and Eternal Dictator of the WNY
"Ban the Banana Hammock" Club,Tom brings experience, energy,
excitement and random offbeat shenanigans to every show,
and loves few things more than his butt planted in a beach chair
while the surf rolls over his feet.
Tom likes his sticks twirled, his beats funky,
and his beer imported and is always ready for a good time!
